Job Description

Why this job matters

The Pricing Specialist executes a range of workstreams in delivering pricing activities across BT Groups growing suite of products contributing to BT Groups product/service strategy and contributing to innovative pricing solutions in a commoditised marketplace.

What you’ll be doing

1.Executes pricing strategies that optimise profitability by analysing market trends, competitor pricing, and internal costs.
2.Provides commercial pricing support for complex customer requests, balancing customer needs with BTs commercial objectives.
3.Supports the development of pricing tools, models and databases to enable consistent, scalable and compliant pricing decisions.
4.Conducts market analysis and customer research to inform pricing recommendations, business cases and opportunity win rates.
5.Engages closely with Product, Propositions and Trading teams to influence roadmaps and ensure pricing guidance drives commercial upside.
6.Maintains governance processes including Delegation of Authority (DoA), ensuring pricing decisions meet compliance standards.
7.Manages multiple concurrent pricing projects and deal support, coordinating stakeholders and resolving conflicting priorities.
8.Communicates pricing rationale clearly, using data storytelling and financial insight to influence stakeholders and justify decisions.
9. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in pricing.
