BT is seeking a Cyber Security Governance & Assurance Professional to support the delivery of security governance, risk and compliance activities across key customer contracts. What you will be doing
You'll play a key role in helping BT and its customers maintain strong security governance by:
- Managing security governance activities across assigned customer contracts.
- Supporting security risk management, compliance monitoring and assurance activities.
- Maintaining governance documentation, security frameworks and compliance evidence.
- Facilitating governance meetings, tracking actions and driving issues through to resolution.
- Supporting security audits, risk assessments and remediation activities.
- Working closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure contractual security obligations are met.
- Monitoring and reporting on security risks, incidents and corrective action plans.
Essential Skills/Experience
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with risk management principles and compliance activities
- Ability to organise, prioritise and manage workload independently
- Understanding of contractual obligations and governance requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Confidence identifying issues and escalating when appropriate
- Understanding of operational security environments and governance processes
- Ability to obtain and maintain relevant security clearance
- Commitment to achieving professional security qualifications such as CISMP or equivalent
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Security governance, assurance or compliance experience
- Familiarity with ISO 27001, NCSC guidance, NIS Regulations or Security Policy Frameworks
- Conducting or supporting security audits and compliance reviews
- Knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance requirements
- Experience assessing security controls and their effectiveness
- Interest in emerging cyber threats and the evolving security landscape
