About the role

It lies at the centre of BT’s transformation; enabling the Customer Facing Units (CFUs) and Corporate Units (CUs) it helps to deliver brilliant customer experience effectively and efficiently.The Data Analytics Advisor 3 assists in the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data to help the BT group’s judicious decision making.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering reporting outputs as per the guidance of the Team Leader
• Analyze and interpret data, and ensure work is being delivered against required standards, in a consistent and efficient way
• Work with stakeholders to interpret KPIs and the underlying business data in order to be able to design data structures that can be used by others to effectively present this data using an appropriate visualization tool.
• Perform data integrity and data quality checks to ensure quality and accuracy of workable insights.
• Drive requirement gathering calls/meetings, proactively follow-up and liaise with relevant stakeholders to fulfil all business generated asks.
• Ensure that there are mechanisms for accurate and timely production and distribution of workable insights and data

Essential Skills / Experience

Industry specific –

• Knowledge of the telecoms industry and convergence.
• Broad understanding of the Global business
• A good working knowledge of Global Service Management and related functions
• ITIL Function knowledge will be an advantage
Functional Specific –
• Intermediate knowledge in the design and production of subject-specific reports using industry standard reporting tools (e.g. Excel, VBA, Access, etc)
• Extremely high logical and methodical skills, and well-adapted at extracting key ‘signals’, and translating these into balanced.
• Excellent numeracy, analytics and data interpretation skills
• Strong methodical mindset with ability to question large data sets

• Experienced BI Analyst with at least 2 years’ experience in relevant roles or roles
• Advanced Excel knowledge, ideally with VBA
• Good Oracle SQL abilities and a general knowledge of database principles
• Advanced visualization tools (Qlik) or automation skills would be desirable skills
