Why this job matters

This role will be responsible for developing and growing client relationships with the MBNL, 3, and EE customer base, and drive the P&L to contribute to the MNO commercial goals and strategy. The role will also be leading the sales requirements for future mobile connectivity which will be fully supported by the Business product and propositions teams.


This role will lead a team of account managers and be key in setting and role modelling best practice for commercial and business management. CR2024

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to the MNO business strategy with a focus on MBNL, 3, EE and Future connectivity, leading a team of account managers and ensuring they are aligned to the strategy and performing successfully to meet revenue and EDBITDA Wholesale targets.
  • Ensuring the team are customer focused and consistently managing opportunity pipeline, whilst also ensuring best practice is delivered to Customers commercially, and providing exceptional service across time, cost and quality,
  • Has oversight of clients that fall across their segment of MNO, is involved in engaging with clients to develop account plans by identifying, building and executing growth opportunities within each of the accounts, using emerging technology, market conditions, industry standards and government regulations to inform decisions.
  • Develops strategic relationships with C suite level stakeholders at existing and target clients, as well as building close working relationships with peers across MNO and Wholesale, Product ad Propositions to cross sell, upsell, and ensure the best product is launched.

What we would like to see on your CV

  • Experience of leading a sales team focused on a small number of Major Accounts
  • Experience of delivering on business objectives and stretching sales targets, improving results through performance management and coaching creating an operating environment where people want to achieve outstanding results and are highly engaged
  • Ability to use insight to make strategic and agile operational decisions enabling the team to win,
  • Experience of large complex bid leadership (3-18 months sales cycle times)
  • Experience of driving virtual teams to deliver necessary business results

Flexible Working

BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you’ll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
