About the role
What you’ll be doing
• Working within the PO Management team, supporting with implementation of processes required for cost recovery and receipting in support of development expenditure for Network OSS
• Effective Billing: You are tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that, the unit you support - wholly and efficiently recover costs in accordance with approved funding.
• Responsible for maintaining and reconciling Purchase orders and invoices received against approved Demand, supporting the PO Management team to control spend with 3rd party suppliers including assets, licenses and consultancy & Subcon services.
• Responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting, delivering insights across PO spend and Invoice stages to ensure visibility, accuracy and control over financial performance within MTP.
• Responsible for stopping invalid expenditure and ensuring correct receipting to stop incorrect billing at source.
• Supports on collating insights related to investments and PO status including outlooks at director & team level on a monthly basis
• Address supplier issues and coordinate solutions to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
• Provide insights on ways to enhance the procurement process, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings
• Works on identifying cost allocations, by supplier or by application, identifying trends and hot spots that offer opportunity to be optimized.
• Support the wider team to provide updates on status of unit demands
• Support data analysis to help identify meaningful data relationships

• Experienced in Excel
• Desirable experience in BT financial tools (Ariba & SAP)
• Strong pan-BT end to end knowledge
• Knowledge of BT platforms, networks, services, products, data and propositions.
