How You’ll Make An Impact

We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Software Architecture to lead our technology transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader skilled in transitioning from monolithic systems to microservices architectures. The role requires deep expertise in designing and building highly scalable and available big data platforms, as well as advanced AI and ML solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Drive the architectural strategy for software development, focusing on breaking down monolithic systems into microservices to improve scalability and maintainability.
• Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of state-of-the-art big data platforms that support extensive data processing and analytics at scale.
• AI and ML Development: Oversee the development of AI and ML models, ensuring they are scalable and can handle extreme loads with high availability.
• Team Management: Build and manage a team of architects and developers to execute projects effectively. Mentor staff and foster a collaborative, innovative environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with other VPs and C-level executives to align architectural strategies with business goals. Provide expert guidance and solutions to complex technical problems.
• Innovation and Research: Stay abreast of the latest trends in software architecture, big data, AI, and ML. Incorporate cutting-edge technology and practices into the company.

The Experience You Bring

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in software architecture with a focus on large-scale systems.
• Proven track record of successful migration from monolithic systems to microservices architecture.
• Extensive experience in designing and building big data platforms and implementing AI/ML solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and architectures, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing diverse teams and collaborating at all organizational levels.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in highly regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
• Contributions to open-source projects or public speaking at relevant technical conferences.
• Advanced certifications in cloud architecture, big data, or AI/ML technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, PA ranges from $207,368 - $296,911. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
