Job Title: Management Consultant - Cost

Contract Type: Permanent

Flexibility: This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Location: In terms of location, we have offices in Bath, Bristol, Southampton and London, and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Please note that travel to customer sites or to attend meetings will be required on a regular basis.

About The Role

We’re growing our Management Consultancy team and are looking for an experienced Cost Consultant to join us. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on complex projects that make a real difference in the UK Defence and Security sectors.

You’ll be delivering cost estimating and forecasting services that help our clients make informed, financially sound decisions. Your work will support investment appraisals, trade studies, cost-benefit analysis and budget planning. While your main focus will be cost consultancy, you’ll also have the opportunity to support other project management activities.

About You

You’ll bring strong experience in cost estimating, particularly in complex procurement environments. You’ll be confident using advanced techniques and tools like MS Excel for cost modelling, and open to exploring new technologies and AI to enhance your work.You’ll also have:

• A track record of applying cost analysis to support investment decisions and budget setting
• The ability to clearly present complex information to stakeholders
• Experience working within client teams and influencing decision-makers
• A flexible approach to supporting wider project management tasks
• A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills

It would be great if you’re already a member of a relevant professional body or working towards it. You should also be comfortable supporting internal initiatives such as bids or team development.
