Job Title: Junior Test Analyst

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: In terms of location, this role will be based out of our Bath office and we are happy to explore flexible and hybrid working arrangements.

Eligibility for this Role
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a UK-born sole national.
  • Have held no other nationality at any time.
  • Have continuously resided in the United Kingdom for the past five years.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain full UK security clearance in accordance with government vetting standards.
  • Provide satisfactory evidence of identity, nationality, and residency as part of the clearance process.

About The Role

As a Junior Test Analyst you will support the delivery of high-quality software solutions, working under the guidance of experienced test professionals. The role involves designing and executing manual test cases, contributing to the development of automated test suites, and ensuring that software meets defined requirements and quality standards.

The Junior Test Analyst is expected to actively engage in structured training and development activities to acquire the necessary skills and competencies for progression within the software testing discipline.

Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Design, execute, and document tests: Create and run manual test cases, report defects accurately, and maintain comprehensive test documentation including plans, cases, and bug reports.
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to refine requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in agile processes: Take an active role in agile ceremonies and internal or customer-facing meetings to support project progress.
  • Support automation initiatives: Learn and contribute to automation frameworks and scripting to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Perform comprehensive testing: Conduct regression, integration, and system testing across web and backend platforms.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Share ideas and insights to improve team capability and testing practices.
  • Focus on personal development: Develop and maintain a Personal Development Plan aligned with digital capability goals.
  • Adapt as needed: Undertake additional duties as required to support the role’s purpose

About You

You’re a motivated and collaborative team member with a growing passion for software testing and quality assurance. You bring foundational experience in manual testing, with at least a years’ experience in a testing role, and are keen to deepen your understanding of testing processes, tools, and techniques that support the delivery of high-quality digital products.

You communicate clearly and professionally, showing good judgment and respect when collaborating with developers, UX designers, and other stakeholders. You’re developing strong analytical skills, able to follow test plans, interpret results, and contribute to identifying issues and recommending improvements that support informed decision-making and enhance user experience.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience using bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
