In Surgery, our products empower providers to reduce the incidence of surgical complications, improve patients’ experiences and lower the total cost of surgical care.

About the role

The Key Account Manager, Surgery will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share for the Surgery portfolio across the assigned territory. You will develop and maintain strategic relationships with surgeons, hospital administrators, procurement teams, and other key partners to ensure successful adoption of the portfolio and achievement of business objectives.

Through effective account management, customer engagement, and commercial execution, you will identify new business opportunities, maximize the value of existing accounts, and give to the continued growth of the Surgery business throughout the country.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and market share growth for surgical products and solutions.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers, including surgeons, hospital administrators, procurement teams, and other relevant collaborators within assigned accounts.
• Present and demonstrate CareFusion's surgical product portfolio, highlighting features, benefits, and value propositions tailored to customer needs.
• Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring adherence to company pricing policies and terms.
• Provide ongoing account management, including post-sale support, product training, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal customer experience.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities and inform product development.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including marketing, clinical specialists, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in the CRM system.
• Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other relevant events to represent CareFusion and network with potential customers.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with a strong preference for experience in surgical sales.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of the surgical environment, hospital operations, and procurement processes.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse collaborators.
• Self-motivated, passionate about achieving goals, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
