BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Advancing the world of health™ is our Purpose, and it’s no small feat. It takes the imagination and passion of all of us—from design and engineering to the manufacturing and marketing of our billions of MedTech products per year—to look at the impossible and find transformative solutions that turn dreams into possibilities.

We believe that the human element, across our global teams, is what allows us to continually evolve. Join us and discover an environment in which you’ll be supported to learn, grow and become your best self. Become a maker of possible with us.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead global spare parts demand planning, inventory policy, and lifecycle strategy across field stock, depots, and partner locations.

  • Define and optimize the global logistics and distribution network, including stocking strategy, transportation, and partner performance.

  • Set global stocking strategies by location and criticality to ensure the right part is in the right place at the right time while balancing service levels and working capital.

  • Support service-part lifecycle governance for new product introductions, engineering changes, and end-of-life transitions to reduce disruption and obsolescence risk.

  • Lead third-party logistics and repair partner governance, including performance expectations, service levels, and cost accountability.

  • Drive network and process standardization across regions while allowing for local market requirements, creating one scalable global operating model.

  • Translate service demand signals into planning, repair, and distribution decisions through disciplined forecasting, capacity planning, and KPI-based operating reviews.

  • Oversee global depot repair operations, including capacity, turnaround, repair strategy, quality standards, and cost performance.

  • Drive a standardized global operating model by partnering with regional service teams, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, procurement, and external vendors, with clear accountability boundaries and strong cross-functional governance.

  • Build operating cadence, KPI reviews, and continuous improvement disciplines that improve service availability, inventory efficiency, and customer outcomes.

  • Shape the future-state service logistics operating model, including evaluation of adjacent service-related flows as business needs evolve, while maintaining strong partnership with ISC and regional operations.

  • Build and lead a high-performing team of managers and individual contributors to execute the global service parts planning and logistics strategy.

Key Outcomes / Success Metrics

  • Higher part availability, improved first-time fix, and reduced customer downtime.

  • Better inventory productivity through improved turns and lower excess/obsolete stock.

  • Reduced logistics cost, faster lead times, and stronger depot turnaround performance.

  • A scalable, standardized global operating model with clear accountability and performance visibility.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in service parts planning, aftermarket logistics, depot repair, field service operations, or adjacent service operations roles.

  • Proven leadership in global service parts planning, logistics, inventory optimization, distribution strategy, and partner governance.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and external partners in a complex, matrixed global environment.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, with a track record of transformation, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Leadership Profile

  • Global service operations mindset with the ability to drive one operating model across regions while partnering effectively across functions.

  • Data-driven, outcomes-focused leader who can balance strategy with operational execution.

  • Strong influencer and communicator who builds trust across functions and executive stakeholders.

  • Comfortable leading through complexity, ambiguity, and transformation.

Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Flexibility to work global business hours with occasional after‑hours support for escalations or major events.

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 20% for site visits, customer meetings, or leadership forums.
