Work Experience students taking part in the BAE Systems programme for 2026 at RAF Coningsby, will spend a week with the teams gaining knowledge about the Company and the role they play working alongside the Royal Air Force. In a fast paced location the students will meet key teams (On Aircraft, Off Aircraft, Training, Engineering and Business Teams), with teams providing tours and presentations on their work supporting the TyTAN contract. As well as the learning experience, the students will take part in engagement activities, complete a learning handbook, Careers/Business Team Quizzes, Mock Interviews, Team Building activities, network with current Apprentices and attend a Graduation at the end of the week.

Applications to close approximately 8 weeks before the programme begins. However, they may close earlier if high volumes of applications are received – we recommend applying as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Qualification requirements

This programme is for those 16 – 18 and in Year 12 or 13
