Job Description

Work Experience Bristol - 2026

What's the opportunity?

Work experience at MBDA is a fantastic way to consider your future career choices. Our scheme is designed to give you insight into how an engineering company functions, as well as the sort of work we do day-to-day.

Throughout the week you'll have the opportunity to learn about our company and the industry we work in by completing activities, tours and workshops all based at our Bristol site. During the programme, you'll be taking part in an exciting design project culminating in a mock customer presentation at the end of the week.

You'll also get the opportunity to learn from current apprentices and graduates, who can give you an insight into our Early Careers schemes and the different career paths available at a company like ours!

When will it take place?

Monday 20th July to Friday 24th July.

How can I apply?

To apply, submit an application. Applications will close at Midnight on the 1st May 2026 (please note we may close earlier, depending on volumes).

Your application will be reviewed by a member of the Bristol work experience team. After initial review,

if successful, a member of the team will schedule an informal telephone interview with you.

If successful at the interview stage, you will receive an email with more information about the week's programme and with some paperwork to be completed prior to your arrival onsite.

*Application deadline date may change, depending on volumes of applications

Information you should know

  • Applications are only open to students currently in Years 10 to 13

  • Our work experience programme is designed to support our local community and schools. For this reason, this opportunity is currently open to students who live or attend school within 15 miles of Bristol. This is due to our safeguarding, insurance, and supervision arrangements, and to improve access for those who might not be able to travel far for unpaid work experience.

  • Applications should be submitted by the student.

  • Due to the volume of applications we will not be able to accommodate all applicants.
