About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Operations Manager to join Maritime Sustainment team based at Garden Island, NSW reporting to the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.

The Supply Operations Manager is responsible for the development, negotiation, implementation and management of subcontracts, material procurement, Material demand planning, distribution, warehousing and logistics to meet Project program requirements of cost, quality and delivery through effective commercial management and facilitation of strong relationship with a range of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with the Project to deliver end-to-end Supply Chain solutions
• Supports the overall functional excellence, innovation, and a cost down culture to support Project targets
• Liaison with key stakeholders to ensure quality of information to set up the team for success
• Ensure systems are in place for Procurement and that relevant personnel have been trained in the use
• Provide Project leadership for supply chain engagement activities including, but not limited to, supplier negotiations, contract development and execution, materials management, demand planning and warehousing
• Ensure Supply chain governance is efficient and is utilised throughout the Project

About YOU

• Ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• 3-5 years experience in the sustainment of defence supply chain operations is essential.
• Proven ability and experience in team management.
• Contribute to budget management and control.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required for data management and analysis.
• Ability to motivate individuals and teams across business disciplines, to shape business requirements
