Job Description:

A ServiceNow Senior Systems Administrator supports, configures, upgrades and manages the ServiceNow platform. They conduct day-to-day operations to satisfy availability, recovery, security, capacity and performance needs.

They provide technical support to teams working across the platform, through problem solving, proactive and reactive issue resolution, building and maintaining knowledge and managing the release and deployment processes to promote functionality up the stack into Production in accordance with change control processes.

Core duties:

  • You will be supporting the day to day running of ServiceNow by Problem Solving and Troubleshooting issues raised from the business and internally
  • You will make recommendations for technological change and exploitation of ServiceNow
  • You will lead on the implementation of major upgrades, monthly patches, together with installation of applications, integrations and plugins
  • You will develop and maintain documentation for supporting and maintaining the ServiceNow platform
  • You will initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services

Essential Skills:

  • Good understanding of the ServiceNow platform
  • Experience of implementation of Upgrades, Patches, incident fixes, problem, stories across the entire project lifecycle
  • Understanding of development life cycle of software
  • Ability to manage any issue that arise and be apt in solution delivery
  • Ability to manage the expectations of internal customers and stakeholders, and increase their product/service confidence

The ServiceNow Platform Team:

The team support the Service Now platform, rolling out new capabilities and maintain the system.Supporting internal teams working on patches and fixes, ensuring it’s up to date with upgrades and expanding the ServiceNow platform across the business.
