Job Title: Senior Transport & Logistics Lead

Location: Barrow or Sheffield, Onsite – Friday is home working + Quarterly travel to US

Salary: £52,647+ (DOE)

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you build solid relationships with carriers and third‑party operations teams, helping shape a reliable and responsive transportation network. Take care of of applying specialist knowledge across inbound, outbound, import, export, routing, scheduling, freight audit and carrier performance. Tasked with addressing shipping and customs issues quickly, escalating high‑impact cases when needed.

You will develop and report performance data that reflects service quality, and work closely with export control to maintain compliance with regulatory obligations. Partnering across the end‑to‑end supply chain, you help ensure transportation needs are understood and clearly represented. You’ll also provide day‑to‑day guidance to one, potentially two, team members.

Core duties:

• You have awareness of the latest commercial or technical developments in transportation, including import and export processes
• You’re able to influence internal networks to support reliable, consistent outcomes across transportation activities
• You will bring solid capability within transportation operations, supported by experience in warehouse environments
• You have developed proficiency in ERP SAP systems and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• You’re skilled in evaluating and interpreting data to identify root causes and guide well‑informed actions
• You will hold a Level 5 professional accreditation (e.g., CILT) and/or a degree‑level qualification or equivalent
