Job Title: Security Travel & Events Lead

Location: Warton/Samlesbury, Hybrid

What you will be doing:

On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with employees to review and approve both domestic and international travel requests, ensuring compliance with established travel policies, procedures, and approval processes, particularly for travel to Tier 1 and Tier 2 countries. You will also liaise with external service providers to coordinate the timely release and issuance of travel tickets, ensuring a smooth and efficient travel experience for employees.

Core duties:

  • Liaising with customers and external vendors on a day-to-day basis
  • Being point of contact for all relevant travel queries for the Air sector
  • Required to research countries that we rarely travel to, in order to provide security advice
  • Liaise with Warton security vetting team in relation to who can attend sites
  • Provide bespoke advice in relation to events/exhibitions/conferences
  • Provide advice to senior stakeholders within the business

Essential Skills:

  • Strong customer service/communication skills
  • Able to present data to senior stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Understanding of processes and procedures in relation to travel
  • Able to work individually and as part of larger team

The Air Security Team:

As a security travel and events lead, you will be working as part of a team of experienced travel professionals, providing support and expert guidance to BAE Systems joint ventures and entities on current government regulations and industry best practices. Operating within a dynamic and evolving environment, with a continual focus on monitoring developments and conducting horizon scanning to identify and mitigate emerging travel risks.
