Location: Warton – with eventual long term International Secondment to Ankara, Türkiye

Salary: £67,000 (minimum)

Job Description:

You’ll join a high-profile international defence programme supporting the delivery of Typhoon capability in Türkiye. Working across security, resilience and operational activities, you’ll help shape and govern security frameworks that protect people, infrastructure, information and business operations within a highly detailed and evolving international environment.

Collaborating with senior teams, Digital Technology, Cyber and external stakeholders, you’ll contribute to operational resilience, business continuity and security governance activities across multiple programme locations. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic security planning, support international mobilisation activities and help develop scalable security capability within one of the region’s most significant defence partnerships.

Core duties:

  • Developing and implementing security policies, resilience strategies and continuous improvement activities supporting Türkiye programme operations
  • Coordinating business continuity, emergency response, incident and crisis management activities across UK&I and Türkiye operations
  • Supporting secure and compliant operations across Ankara, Eskisehir and Konya, protecting people, infrastructure and information assets
  • Overseeing governance, assurance and audit activities to maintain compliance with operational and regulatory security frameworks
  • Supporting programme mobilisation and security planning activities, engaging with embassies, external partners and internal stakeholders

Essential Skills:

  • Considerable experience providing security advice within government, defence or highly detailed commercial operational environments
  • Knowledge of operational resilience disciplines, including business continuity, incident and emergency management implementation
  • Experience operating across cross-jurisdictional environments, including risk identification, mitigation and security governance activities
  • Good evaluative and communication skills, producing high-quality reports, presentations and senior stakeholder briefings
  • Experience building collaborative relationships across government, international partners and multidisciplinary stakeholder groups

Supporting a high-profile international defence programme, this function delivers critical security, resilience and operational assurance activities across multi-layered global environments. Working closely with international partners and senior stakeholders, it enables safe, compliant and scalable operations that support long-term programme delivery and strategic business growth.
