Job Description:

The Project Professional supports Ridsdale Trials Engineers in planning and delivering test and evaluation trials, applying robust project management to monitor progress and report against customer requirements across lifecycle milestones. The role coordinates resources to meet agreed deliverables and maintains clear communication to manage expectations within the defined scope, providing updates at key stages. The Project Professional also tracks and reports on business metrics, including sales, cash, and order targets, and contributes to CAPEX planning and delivery through milestone governance. Working across multiple projects, the role ensures timely execution, accurate reporting, and alignment with quality and performance objectives and compliance.

Core duties:

  • Ensure Delivery and cost milestones are met within internal and external project delivery
  • Support commercial opportunities through estimating and acceptance process
  • Manages project system set up/release documentation and facilitates the weekly project review meetings/Issuing and manages the open action and RAID (Risks/Assumptions/Issues/Dependences) log
  • Prepare and report monthly project delivery status/business performance monthly
  • Support Bid Panel on behalf of Ridsdale to track progress of opportunities
  • Where appropriate support the site operations manager in implementing effective CAPEX planning and monitoring tools
  • Any other reasonable management request within the context of the PSM role
  • Takes responsibility and leads the provision of Project support to the Site Operations manager and Trials engineers

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable project management experience, ideally within an engineering or similar technical environment
  • Formal project management training with working knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and risk management tools (e.g. MS Project, Predict!), with SAP experience desirable
  • Ability to support project delivery to meet customer expectations and provide accurate, timely status reports for inclusion in monthly T&E management reporting
  • Experience operating in, or strong understanding of, safety-critical or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to effectively support the interface between the organisation and customers or their representatives across commercial, procurement, and project-related discussions
  • Strong action management capability, with the ability to clearly define, track, prioritise, and deliver actions to ensure successful project outcomes

The Team:

The team operates as the Ridsdale Site Team, consisting of approximately 20 members, with plans to grow to around 21–22. The team delivers a range of bespoke, “mini” projects, each varying in scope and complexity, requiring a flexible and well-rounded approach. Roles within the team are diverse and hands-on, extending beyond desk-based work to include regular customer interaction and on-site engagement.

Key attributes sought include experience leading and contributing to review meetings, a robust and structured approach to project delivery, and a proven ability to achieve defined milestones within varied and dynamic project environments.
