Job Title: Procurement Engineer – Performance Delivery (DLF)
Location: Samlesbury, Hybrid – 3 days a week on site, depending on business needs – occasional International and UK travel

Job Description:
You will coordinate a UK and international supply base to ensure the Typhoon production line maintains required stock levels in a fast‑paced environment. Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will resolve issues, coordinate production requirements, and support effective order book delivery. You will also report key procurement metrics and contribute to maintaining robust performance across the DLF team.
Core duties:
- Ensure timely placement of purchase contracts in line with procurement governance, supplier accreditations, and export control requirements
- Support team members in working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure parts meet business and customer needs
- Maintain supplier relationships and support effective supplier performance coordination
- Monitor and communicate performance metrics including schedule adherence, invoice accuracy, and quality performance
- Maintain accurate ERP data and travel to suppliers to support business and order book reviews
Essential Skills:
- Procurement experience within high‑volume, fast‑paced, or regulated environments such as aerospace, defence, or manufacturing; and a continuous improvement mindset, alongside examples of identifying opportunities and contributing to solutions
- Experience coordinating supply chain order books, including high volumes of purchase orders, updates, queries, and invoices
- Able to interpret procurement and supplier data, identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, and apply governance and process controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Considerable IT capability, including ERP systems (example LN) and advanced Excel skills, plus the ability to compile data for reports and presentations
The Procurement Performance – Delivery, Logistics & Fulfilment Team:
The DLF Team manages procurement and order book delivery for the Typhoon production line, ensuring parts and materials arrive on time to support build schedules. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, they collaborate across engineering, supply chain, and production teams to maintain performance and drive delivery excellence.
