Location: Samlesbury – On site, 5 days on site

Job Description:

You’ll take a key role in overseeing logistics operations within the Typhoon value stream, ensuring materials, components and production flows align to deliver high-performance manufacturing. Working with ERP systems and production planning tools, you’ll supervise inventory, optimise Work in Progress (WIP) and support on-time delivery across the shop floor.

You’ll collaborate with production, procurement and suppliers to maintain smooth operations, while identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs and enhance efficiency. This role offers the chance to influence and shape a changing business area, providing considerable visibility, development opportunities and the ability to make a meaningful impact on programme delivery.

Core duties:

  • Executing production plans, ensuring materials and components are delivered on time to support manufacturing schedules
  • Overseeing Work in Progress levels across the shop floor, maintaining flow and reducing bottlenecks
  • Monitoring production orders, driving progress to meet deadlines and maintain schedule adherence
  • Coordinating material flow and inventory, working with suppliers and teams to prevent shortages
  • Identifying improvement opportunities, enhancing logistics processes, efficiency and overall operational performance

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstratable experience overseeing teams within manufacturing or logistics environments, driving performance and operational delivery
  • Considerable knowledge of MRP/MRPII processes within ERP systems, supporting effective planning and material coordination
  • Experience in inventory management techniques such as Kanban and line-side replenishment within production settings
  • Understanding of production scheduling, including Work-To-Lists and monitoring adherence to meet delivery targets
  • Relevant qualifications in supply chain or project management, with ample IT skills including advanced Excel proficiency
  • Experience within Machine Shop or Carbon Fibre Manufacturing environments, supporting specialised production and material flow

The 3B/510 Typhoon Machine Shop and Carbon Fibre Manufacturing Team:

Working within a high-performance manufacturing environment, you’ll support critical Typhoon programme delivery by enabling efficient material flow and on-time production. You’ll operate in a dynamic, evolving area with opportunities to influence processes, drive improvements and build valuable experience across logistics and operations.
