Location: Samlesbury, Hybrid – 4 days minimum onsite

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, the candidate will lead and coordinate Manufacturing Governance & Assurance activities across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with key industry standards while supporting the integrity and quality of manufacturing operations. They will take ownership of governance tools and systems such as the Manufacturing Assurance Statement (MAS), Manufacturing Document Management System (MDMS) and the wider Business Management System (BMS), helping to shape and improve governance processes across the Manufacturing Function. The role also involves analysing assurance data to identify trends and risks, driving continuous improvement through action plans, and conducting Process Confirmations across the manufacturing estate to assess performance and best practice. Working closely with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor teams to senior leaders, they will provide guidance on governance queries, support audits and document management activities, and produce engaging governance reports and insights for senior reviews while contributing to the rollout of new governance systems and capabilities.

Core duties:

  • You’ll bring experience in governance, assurance, or quality management within a complex manufacturing environment, with the ability to interpret and apply standards such as BS/EN9100:2015 and RA5835.
  • You’ll demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interrogate assurance data, identify risks or performance gaps, and develop clear, actionable improvement plans that drive operational performance.
  • You’ll be a confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence, challenge and present insights to stakeholders at all levels, including senior managers and Directors.
  • You’ll have strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, enabling you to manage documentation, analyse data and produce clear, professional reports within governance frameworks.

The Manufacturing Governance & Assurance (G&A) Team:

You’ll join the Manufacturing Governance & Assurance (G&A) Team within the Air Manufacturing function, supporting compliance and continuous improvement across multiple sites including Warton, Towcester and Filton. Working across programmes such as F-35, E&I and FalconWorks, you’ll gain valuable exposure to a range of technologies, products and operational environments. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop experience in governance frameworks, assurance activities and business management systems, while working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and contributing to the ongoing improvement of governance processes.
