Who we are:
Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.
From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will support the delivery of Manufacturing Governance and Assurance activities across multiple manufacturing sites, helping to ensure compliance with key standards including BS/EN9100:2015 and RA5835. You will assist in coordinating important governance processes such as Letters of Delegation, the Manufacturing Assurance Statement (MAS), and the Manufacturing Business Management System (BMS), while also analysing audit and assurance data to help identify risks and support improvement actions. The role offers the opportunity to take part in Process Confirmations across the Manufacturing estate, providing valuable exposure to operational teams and how compliance is achieved in practice. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Manufacturing, responding to governance queries, supporting document owners, and maintaining systems such as MDMS, Proquis and Knowledge Centres. In addition, you will contribute to governance reporting for leadership meetings, reviews and internal audits, while also playing a part in continuous improvement initiatives, including enhancements to governance systems and the transition to new business management processes.
Core duties:
- You’ll bring a solid understanding of business administration, governance, quality or manufacturing processes, with the ability to follow structured procedures and maintain clear, accurate documentation.
- You’ll apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review data, identify inconsistencies and help support the development of effective corrective actions.
- You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, asking the right questions, sharing information clearly and supporting teams with governance-related queries.
- You’ll use your proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to create professional documentation, track key data and produce clear, informative reports.
The Manufacturing Governance & Assurance (G&A) Team:
You’ll join the Manufacturing Governance & Assurance (G&A) Team within the Air Manufacturing function, supporting compliance and continuous improvement across multiple sites including Warton, Towcester and Filton. Working across programmes such as F-35, E&I and FalconWorks, you’ll gain valuable exposure to a range of technologies, products and operational environments. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop experience in governance frameworks, assurance activities and business management systems, while working closely with stakeholders across Manufacturing and contributing to the ongoing improvement of governance processes.
