Job Description:

As an IT Service Operations Lead you will oversee day-to-day IT service operations, manage service delivery, and ensure our systems, infrastructure and support teams meet the business and user needs. You will work closely with our IT partners, stakeholders, security and external vendors to maintain a high quality of service and drive operational excellence.

Managing a team, you will play a key role in the support of a wide range of commercial off-the-shelf products used in the engineering disciplines across multiple projects.

Core duties:

  • Monitor, manage and improve IT service delivery processes, including incident, problem and change management
  • Collaborate with IT project teams and business units to support system and software upgrades, obsolescence, deployments and operational changes
  • Collaborate with application business owners, subject matter experts and Business Analysts to understand requirements and produce relevant Service Definitions and Service Design documentation
  • Support Operational Readiness Reviews (ORR) and Global Cyber Security Standard (GCSS) reviews
  • Report on IT service performance, risks and operational issues to senior management

Essential Skills:

  • Confirmed experience in IT service management
  • Exceptionable knowledge of the ITIL Foundation Version 3 or Higher
  • Able to effectively balance multiple priorities and adapt within a dynamic environment
  • Previous experience in a highly secure IT environment
  • Good Knowledge of Service Design and Transition

Digital Engineering Service Management team

Joining this team offers the opportunity to lead a group of six Support Engineers who support a range of engineering software solutions, managing the full lifecycle from incident intake through to resolution. The role provides meaningful exposure to both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, allowing you to play a key part in shaping and strengthening a cohesive, high-performing support function.

You will have the opportunity to enhance and evolve the support framework, contributing to the development of a well-structured, efficient, and collaborative team environment. The role is designed with growth in mind, offering formal development through ITIL Foundation training, alongside comprehensive vendor-led training across the supported toolsets and additional learning opportunities.

This environment supports continuous learning, enabling you to build ample knowledge base while developing both technical expertise and leadership capability, making it an excellent platform for long-term career progressionas.
