Who we are:

Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. As a valued member of our global colleague network, you’ll bring your unique skills and perspectives to help pioneer progress and protect what matters most. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow – shaping a safer future, for all of us.

Role Description:

We are seeking a proactive and delivery-focused Service Change Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of IT service changes across Infrastructure Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring service changes are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned to business objectives, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations. Working closely with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders, you will manage the full lifecycle of change from initial planning through to implementation and transition into live service.

This is a hands-on role that combines forward planning with practical delivery. In addition to coordinating activities and managing stakeholders, you will actively contribute to the delivery of change initiatives, helping to solve problems, remove blockers, and drive progress to achieve successful outcomes.

Core Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver IT service changes across Infrastructure Services
  • Manage change scope, schedules, risks, issues, dependencies, and budgets to ensure successful delivery
  • Work closely with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders to align priorities and objectives
  • Develop and maintain change plans, documentation, and progress reporting
  • Ensure changes are governed through established change management processes and controls
  • Identify and resolve delivery challenges, escalating where appropriate
  • Support Agile ways of working, enabling iterative delivery and continuous improvement
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums to drive decision-making and delivery progress
  • Ensure changes are transitioned smoothly into live service with minimal disruption to users
  • Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous service improvement

Essential Skills:

  • Experience delivering IT or Infrastructure Service changes
  • Good stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, and competing priorities
  • Knowledge of IT service management and change management practices
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • An Agile mindset with a focus on delivering value and continuous improvement
  • ITIL Foundation certification

The EIT and Infrastructure team:

As a IT Service Change Manager, you will be at the heart of delivering meaningful change across Infrastructure Services. You will ensure that service changes are effectively planned, governed, and implemented, balancing business requirements with service performance, cost, and compliance considerations. If you are passionate about driving change, building good stakeholder relationships, and delivering real business value, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
