About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Project Engineering Manager – ICT to join our AUKUS based at Adelaide – South Australia, reporting to the Facilities & Infrastructure Engineering Manager.

You will be responsible for delivering engineering outputs of the project within the triple constraints of quality, cost and schedule. In doing this, the Project Engineering Manager is responsible for ensuring engineering outputs are developed in accordance with approved company standard procedures and processes and meet the agreed operational needs of the customer including product safety and security.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engineering Standards & Compliance
    • Review engineering design, construction, and operational standards for ICT relevant discipline.
    • Ensure alignment with industry codes, regulatory requirements, environmental requirements and best practices.
    • Ensure all engineering work and designs are safety, legal and compliant.
    • Develop and maintain technical specifications, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Conduct compliance audits
    • Conduct Construction Assurance activities and reporting
  • Design Review & Certification
    • Arrange design certification reviews with the Chief Engineer.
    • Review discipline-specific engineering drawings, calculations, and models.
    • Monitor project designs and construction to verify compliance with established standards.
    • Conduct regular design reviews to assess adherence to engineering best practices.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Assurance Report providing input within a timely manner.
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within relevant ICT discipline.
  • Provide technical guidance during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Support decision-making processes by advising on engineering methodologies.
  • Work closely with engineering managers, project managers, designers, and contractors to ensure project technical integrity.
  • Assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to engineering aspects.
  • Participate in technical evaluations of vendors, materials, and equipment.
  • Provide expert input in facility management to uphold operational excellence.

About YOU

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in a relevant ICT engineering discipline is considered essential
  • Experience in designing ICT architecture and contracting ICT infrastructure network installations including but not limited to data centres, AV, Safety & security)
  • Exposure to Information Security Manual (ISM) is considered essential
  • Strong communication skills and able to build highly effective relationships (Desirable).
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain NV1 Clearance
