Role Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for an ICT Project Manager to join our team within JORN Capability LOB based in Edinburgh Parks

The ICT Project Manager will effectively engage stakeholders, managing multiple parallel work packages across a matrix of functional ICT teams to achieve the required outcomes for projects or a collection of discrete tasks with defined scope and of sufficient scale to require the application of Project Management (PM) within the cost, schedule and quality constraints while managing risk and opportunity.

Core Duties:

  • Planning and delivery of straightforward to complicated projects or a collection of discrete tasks with defined scope and of sufficient scale to require the application of project management disciplines
  • Foster a positive collaborative culture between the key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Lead the project team to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements
  • Ensure all project requirements and/ or objectives are properly documented in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate and vigorously pursued
  • Establish appropriate key success indicators and recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost
  • Maintenance of project management baseline
  • Identify project opportunities and risks and develop mitigation strategies for pursuit throughout contract phases. Monitor and report on the status of risks and opportunities
  • Ensure that products and services delivered as part of a project are in accordance with the Product Safety Policy and provide customer satisfaction

About You

  • Demonstrated experience managing and measuring Earnt Value Management (EVM)
  • Demonstrated experience in a project or business management role
  • Specific project management qualifications are not mandatory but vocational/ trade or higher education qualifications in project management and/ or allied disciplines are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Participated in contract development or management
  • Experience co-ordinating cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing sub-contractors, consultants and other suppliers
