Job Description
Job title: Fleet Planning Specialist
Location: RAF Valley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £42,805+ depending on skills & experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the development of an efficient maintenance plan to support both the long term and short term requirements of the Fleet
- Doing the relevant checks and balances in place to assure the Head of Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Support Services (CAMSS) and the Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) that the Fleet Plan is deliverable
- Generating fleet planning scenarios to aid with decision-making, taking into account airworthiness considerations, aircraft availability, and cost
- Ensuring that all aircraft modifications are planned on to the fleet. Identify optimised embodiment strategies
- Leading the tasking of Maintenance into Depth by generating Statements of Work, leading the pre-input review process and reviewing performance through the post-output reviews
- Ensuring key out-of-phase tasks are planned onto the fleet in a way in which minimises impact to aircraft availability. This includes Engines
- Generating good working relationships between all stakeholders required to deliver the Fleet Plan i.e. Pt.145 Maintenance, Supply Chain, CAMSS, CAMO and TAA
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Experience in aircraft maintenance operations and good fleet planning knowledge
- Ability to interpret large amount of data and information, to make informed recommendations
- Strong IT skills, MS Office, Excel and Fleet Planning software e.g. Witness
Desirable:
- Experience of leading a project across multiple stakeholders and functions
- Experience with the system of record (MTx)
- Strong knowledge of the Pt. 145 and Pt.M MAA regulations

The Hawk T2 Fleet Planning Team:
In this team you will be part of the Continuing Airworthiness Management Support Service (CAMSS) and be responsible for leading the Fleet Planning activity primarily for Hawk T2, but offering support to TMk1 as required.
