Job Description:

The ERP Subject Matter Expert serves as the Supply Chain subject matter expert for the Aveva ERM ERP system, applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex challenges. They lead the sustainment and continuous improvement of the ERP toolset across programmes and functions, driving enhancements aligned with the digital strategy.

They oversee ERP‑related governance and audit activity while creating and maintaining process instructions for all system‑impacted Supply Chain operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and effective cross‑business collaboration..

Core duties:

  • Lead the ongoing management, development and continuous improvement of the ERP system, working across different teams and functions
  • Define and manage system-adjacent Supply Chain processes and procedures for others to follow across the Naval Ships business, owning Process Instructions and User Guides and ensuring that they are maintained within the Business Management System
  • Lead cross-functional stakeholders in the planning, development and delivery of assigned workflows and Supply Chain project & system implementations, in line with the wider Supply Chain Digital Strategy
  • Lead audit and governance activities for Supply Chain

Essential Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (specifically Aveva ERM)
  • Detailed understanding of Procurement / Supply Chain Processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across Supply Chain teams, Engineering, Planning, Export Control, SHE, Suppliers and 3rd Party service providers

Supply Chain Digital Team:

As part of a highly collaborative team, successful candidates will work closely with colleagues across all areas of the Naval Ships business. Together, the team applies its collective expertise to shape and deliver the Supply Chain function’s Digital strategy.
