About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Data Analyst to join our Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) based at Osborne, Adelaide. This rewarding position will report to the Engineering Data Insights Lead, and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world’s most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform engineering data analysis activities, deliver engineering insights and report metrics to stakeholders
- Communicate effectively and build trusted relationships with stakeholders, translating data into clear, actionable insights and communicate complex concepts
- Develop and maintain engineering data in dashboards and reporting solutions including Tableau and Power BI
- Assist with naval ship modification engineering pack source identifications and the automation of data source extractions
- Assist with system engineering integration direction requests for reporting resets at program review meetings
- Present engineering data insights at meetings to both internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the uplift of organisational analytics capability through providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of modern and sustainable data practices
About YOU
- Engineering data analyst experience and in multi-source – Tableau and/or Power BI systems
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively present data to stakeholders
- The ability to provide support and mentor junior members of the engineering team
- The ability to collaborate effectively in a large team environment, self-driven with the ability to resolve technical problems
- Whilst not essential, shipbuilding or defence industry experience will be highly regarded
