Job title: Data Governance & Risk Associate

Location: Various locations available: Radway Green, Bishopton, Ridsdale, Glascoed, Washington

Salary: £37,263

What you’ll be doing:

  • Apply knowledge, skills and training to deliver the People Data governance Framework, Standards, Policies and Practises required to allow the Enterprise to meet its strategic and tactical goals
  • Drive/support the company to improve the accuracy of data across the business
  • Drive/support activities to improve the use of data to drive business insight and decision making
  • Drive/support the business in the governance of all aspects of data and risk reporting
  • Provide guidance on accessibility, retrievability and protection of data, whilst supporting the transformation of information from one format/medium to another, where appropriate. Understands the relevant organisational policies and procedures and operates to ensure the data is presented effectively
  • Work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability. Exercises substantial personal responsibility and autonomy. Uses substantial discretion in identifying and responding to complex issues and assignments as they relate to the deliverable/scope of work. Escalates when issues fall outside their framework of accountability
  • Interact with and influences colleagues. May oversee others or make decisions which impact routine work assigned to individuals or stages of projects. Has working level contact with customers, suppliers and partners. Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work. Contributes fully to the work of teams by appreciating how own role relates to other roles
  • Support the Cyber Lead as an SME on assurance of systems and projects that require cyber risk and data governance applied

Your skills and experiences:

  • Knowledge of assurance, risk, legal compliance, cross function collaboration and project management
  • Reporting and tracking of cyber risks
  • Experience in implementing business change, reporting and data collection & analytics and risk assessment

The IM&T team:

In this role, you will support the administration process behind our audits on data, products and services; and cyber risk. As well as this, you will assist with the delivery of IT activities that are aligned to the business objectives and overall company strategy on data governance and cyber/IT risk.
