Who we are:

Join BAE Systems and you’ll be part of something bigger. You’ll be trusted to play your part in delivering the advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions of tomorrow, shaping a safer future, for all of us.

From the depths of the ocean, to the far reaches of space, there’s no limit to where a career at BAE Systems could take you.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll act as the primary link between business teams and the Data & Analytics (D&A) function, building collaborative relationships and ensuring that data initiatives align with wider organisational goals. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll translate business strategy into clear and actionable data and analytics programmes that support informed decision-making and deliver measurable outcomes.

You’ll support the planning and prioritisation of demand for data and analytics services, partnering with stakeholders to coordinate delivery and ensure initiatives focus on delivering measurable value and return on investment. As part of this, you’ll provide senior oversight of data and analytics projects and programmes, acting as an escalation point where required to ensure delivery expectations are met.

You’ll also ensure that Data & Analytics and IT strategies remain aligned with broader organisational objectives. By providing expert guidance on data, analytics and AI capabilities, you’ll enable the organisation to make forward-looking, evidence-based decisions.

In addition, you’ll lead the development of proposals and ensure all initiatives comply with internal policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll support senior leadership by contributing to strategic decisions across finance, technology and quality assurance, helping ensure data and analytics initiatives deliver measurable business value.

Core duties:

  • Experience shaping Data & Analytics strategy and aligning initiatives with wider organisational objectives
  • Ability to manage demand and resource planning, balancing priorities and allocating resources effectively
  • Experience overseeing complex technical projects and programmes, ensuring successful delivery
  • Ability to develop business cases and evaluate return on investment (ROI) with a focus on measurable value
  • Confident stakeholder management, advising and building effective relationships with senior leaders
  • A blend of technical expertise and business strategy experience, enabling translation of strategic objectives into practical solutions

The Data & Analytics Strategy & Business Value Team:

Reporting to the Head of Product Engagement, Data and Analytics, this is a high-impact role within a global organisation, positioned at the centre of how the business uses data, analytics and AI to inform decisions and deliver measurable value. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple markets, influencing priorities, shaping strategy and guiding investment decisions at scale. Acting as a key link between business, IT and Data and Analytics teams, you will gain broad organisational exposure while solving complex challenges and advising on effective, practical solutions. With a focus on innovation and digital transformation, you will play an important role in unlocking the full value of emerging technologies and data-driven capabilities. Offering significant senior visibility and involvement in strategic planning, financial oversight and governance, this role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth and long-term career development within a global environment.
