Job Description

Job Title: Business Administrator (12-month FTC)

Location: Scotstoun/Govan, Glasgow. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £33,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the smooth running of the SHIELD toolset and conducting daily assurance checks to ensure accuracy and cross reference with associated information detail
  • Running reports, producing metrics and sharing key information to relevant stakeholders
  • Effectively prioritise and respond to tasks, gather information, check on progress and support enquiries
  • Communicating with the wider team and key stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information, progress and effective maintenance is achieved
  • Organising files (physical or electronic), in a structured, user friendly and secure way
  • Supporting the wider team where required for administration support enabling a smooth running office and reporting requirements delivered, on time
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained through all aspects of role

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Excellent Excel skills and the ability to extract and collate data and producing bespoke reports
  • Organisation of time and workload management skills, with the ability to make recommendations about ways to improve efficiency or effectiveness
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), with experience of using digital communication tools
  • Ability to problem solve and to use judgement and experience

Desirable:

  • Experience of setting up meetings, preparing agendas and resources
  • Good standard of general education, administration qualifications and/or equivalent experience

The SHE team:

By joining our team, you will be involved in ensuring business-wide compliance through critical database maintenance and system oversight. Reporting to the Safety Manager, this important role offers valuable knowledge and exposure. The SHE team provides essential support in Safety, Health & Environment, making you a key player in driving business performance. Engage with stakeholders, create reports, and maintain information while contributing to our governance and assurance framework.
