Job Description

The BD
& Growth Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting BSL’s business
development activities while ensuring the effective management of Growth
operations, including bid management, CRM governance and business development
reporting. The role will coordinate the Bid / No Bid and proposal process,
maintain accurate and timely CRM and pipeline information, and produce regular
and ad-hoc growth reports.

In addition to these operational
responsibilities, the role will actively support business development by
engaging with existing and potential customers, identifying new opportunities,
understanding customer requirements and supporting the development of
appropriate BSL solutions across HR Outsourcing, Training and Procurement
Outsourcing. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role will work
under their day-to-day direction while supporting the wider Growth strategy
established by the Head of Growth Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting,
Processes and Tools:

· Own the
day-to-day governance and integrity of the Growth CRM, ensuring opportunities,
customer contacts, values, stages, activities and relevant background
information is complete, accurate and up to date.

· Conduct regular
CRM reviews with relevant business/division owners and follow up on missing,
outdated or inaccurate information. Maintain accurate pipeline information and
support the Head of Growth and BD Manager with pipeline forecasting and
analysis.

· Maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of business activities

· Provide regular
updates and reports on business development activities and achievements.

· Assisting with
drafting business plans, sales pitches, quotations, presentations, contracts to
potential clients and other relevant documents.

· Collaborate with
the pricing and contracts teams to implement growth strategies and business
development / sales plans.

· Build and
maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to drive
revenue growth to support the HR outsourcing, training
and procurement outsourcing in Qatar and potentially other locations.

Bid Identification and Proposal
Development:

· Review new tenders, RFPs and RFQs and prepare an initial
opportunity assessment covering scope, requirements, timelines, commercial
considerations and key risks.

· Prepare the necessary Bid / No Bid documentation and coordinate
and facilitate Bid / No Bid sessions with the BD Manager and Head of Growth,
relevant business leads and SLT.

· Following a Bid decision, coordinate with the relevant BSL
functions to develop and populate the proposal package in accordance with
customer requirements.

· Maintain the bid plan and compliance requirements and coordinate
all required supporting documentation, including certificates, commercial
inputs, bid bonds and other submission requirements.

· Ensure proposals are complete, compliant and submitted within
the required customer deadline.

· Maintain appropriate bid
records, submission documentation and lessons learned.

Risk Assessment and Compliance:

· Identify and coordinate the assessment of key risks arising
during the bid process, escalating material risks to the Business Development
Manager and relevant functional leads.

· Uphold compliance with all requirements and guidelines outlined
in the Request for Proposal (RFP).

Resource
Management:

· Coordinate
bid activities, inputs and timelines across relevant functions to ensure
complete, high-quality proposals are submitted within required deadlines.

Market
Insights and Business Development:

· Stay
abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform bid strategy and
position the company effectively.

· Conduct
market, customer and competitor research to identify potential opportunities
and provide insights to support business development decisions.

· Monitor
relevant market developments, customer activity and industry trends and provide
findings to the Head of Growth and BD Manager.

· Support
the identification and development of new business opportunities across BSL’s
HR Outsourcing, Training and Procurement Outsourcing services.

· Participate
in customer meetings, networking activities, exhibitions and relevant external
events, as instructed by the line manager, to develop relationships and
identify potential opportunities.

· Manage
selected customer relationships and opportunities under the direction of the
Head of Growth and/or Business Development Manager.

· When
assigned, engage with customers to understand requirements and coordinate
internally with relevant BSL functions to support the development of tailored
solutions.

· Conduct
appropriate follow-up with customers and partners to progress assigned leads
and opportunities.

Communication
and Event Management:

· Ensure regular updates to
internal stakeholders and monitor progress, outcomes, and manage any
adjustments needed during the bid process.

  • Support
    BSL exhibitions, conferences and external events from a business development
    perspective, focusing on customer engagement, lead generation and appropriate
    follow-up.

Key Accountabilities

· Bid Management: Effective coordination of Bid / No Bid and proposal
activities, including quality, compliance and on-time submission.

· CRM
& Data Quality: Accuracy,
completeness and timeliness of customer, opportunity and pipeline information
within CRM.

· Reporting: Accuracy, quality and timeliness of regular and ad-hoc
Growth reports.

· Opportunity
Generation: Contribution to the
identification and development of qualified business opportunities.

· Customer Engagement: Effective participation in customer engagement and
progression of assigned relationships and opportunities.

  • Process Improvement: Continuous
    improvement of Growth processes, templates, CRM discipline and bid-management
    practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s
    degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience
    in business development, sales operations, bid/proposal management or a
    related commercial environment, preferably within B2B or professional
    services.
  • Experience
    in reviewing RFP/RFQ/tender documentation and coordinating proposal
    submissions would be advantageous.
  • Strong CRM,
    pipeline management and reporting capability.
  • Commercial
    awareness and confidence to engage with customers and external
    stakeholders.
  • Strong
    communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent
    analytical skills, ability to interpret data and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to
    work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency
    in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to
    thrive in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
  • Good
    organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to
    effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels
    of the organization.
  • Knowledge
    of industry best practices and market dynamics including customer trends.
