Job Description

Company Description

We're ASOS, the online retailer for fashion lovers all around the world.

We exist to give our customers the confidence to be whoever they want to be, and that goes for our people too. At ASOS, you're free to be your true self without judgement, and channel your creativity into a platform used by millions.

Everyone needs some help showing up as their best self. We're Disability Confident Committed - let our Talent team know if you need any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process.

Job Description

This is a significant role with ASOS-wide impact, shaping the capability, performance and success of our business. As Talent Management & Skills Partner, you'll deliver our skills-based approach to talent, evolve performance management and strengthen talent review and succession planning, supporting the business and every ASOSer to grow and excel.

The Details

  • Driving a skills-based approach to talent and capability, including the roll-out of a common skills language and skills profiles across ASOS.
  • Working with leaders to identify the priority skills and capabilities the business needs now and in the future, assessing capability gaps and contributing to workforce plans and capability pipelines.
  • Developing skills-based development pathways, resources and guidance that help ASOSers grow their capabilities and careers.
  • Enhancing internal mobility and career pathways to retain talent and enable employee growth, including supporting the pilot of an internal opportunity marketplace.
  • Evolving our approach to performance management and career development and overseeing the annual performance cycle.
  • Coordinating and supporting calibration sessions to ensure high-performance ratings are consistent and fair across functions.
  • Designing and continually improving manager guidance, FAQs, toolkits and calibration resources that support a consistent, high-quality performance cycle.
  • Strengthening talent review and succession planning processes, including supporting the identification of top talent.
  • Leveraging talent insights, performance and workforce data to identify trends, track progress and inform people and business decisions.
  • Supporting the roll-out of the ASOS Talent Philosophy and embedding our values, behaviours and inclusive talent practices into performance, talent review, succession and promotion processes.
  • Partnering with the Talent & Culture team, People Partners and leaders across the business, and coaching managers to hold effective performance, talent and career conversations.
  • Using Workday, people data and AI tools to simplify processes and report on progress.
  • Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

We believe being together in person helps us move faster, connect more deeply, and achieve more as a team. That’s why our approach to working together includes spending at least 3 days a week in the office. It’s a rhythm that speeds up decision-making, helps ASOSers learn from each other more quickly, and builds the kind of culture where people can grow, create, and succeed.

Qualifications

About You

  • Experience delivering performance management, talent review or succession planning processes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of talent and performance management best practice.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at all levels.
  • Experience using people data and analytics to identify insights and inform decisions.
  • Strong understanding of DE&I principles, with a commitment to fair, evidence-based decision-making.
