Job Description

Every ASOS employee relies on Workplace Technology every single day. From laptops and collaboration tools to office connectivity, meeting room technology and IT support, this team powers the technology that keeps the business running.

We're looking for a Head of Workplace Technology to lead and evolve this critical function. While maintaining exceptional day-to-day service, you'll help transform a traditionally operational area into a modern, engineering-led organisation that embraces automation, scalability and continuous improvement.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of workplace technology at ASOS. You'll inherit a highly visible function, build new in-house engineering capability, influence the employee experience of over 3,000 colleagues, and play a key role in how we modernise our Digital Foundation estate.

What You'll Do

• Own the strategy, roadmap and delivery of Workplace Technology experience across ASOS.
• Lead teams responsible for endpoint technology, IT support and workplace infrastructure.
• Transform traditional IT operations into a more engineering-led, product-focused capability.
• Drive automation through modern approaches such as policy-as-code, endpoint automation and scalable platform management.
• Build a new in-house Endpoint Experience capability and reduce reliance on third-party providers where appropriate.
• Improve the joiner, mover and leaver experience, ensuring employees are productive from day one.
• Partner closely with Cyber Security, People Experience and Digital Foundation teams to deliver secure and seamless employee experiences.
• Act as the senior escalation point for critical workplace technology issues.
• Own key supplier relationships and ensure outsourcing partners are delivering against agreed outcomes.
• Establish clear service, operational and employee experience metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Create reliable, repeatable and scalable ways of delivering workplace technology across the organisation.
• Lead through change, bringing teams with you while raising standards across service delivery, engineering practices and employee experience.

Qualifications

You are a senior technology leader with experience owning and operating large‑scale workplace or end‑user technology platforms. You are comfortable working across engineering, operations, security, and people domains, and you bring a strong product mindset to traditionally operational problem spaces.

• Experience leading Workplace Technology, Corporate IT, End User Computing or Digital Employee Experience teams.
• Experience supporting organisations of roughly 1,000 to 5,000 employees.
• A track record of modernising or transforming traditional IT support functions.
• Strong understanding of endpoint management, workplace platforms and employee technology services.
• Experience operating in environments that combine internal teams with outsourced service providers.
• A passion for automation, engineering best practice and improving the employee experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders across technology and business functions.
