Job Description

APM Terminals

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.

What We Can Offer
At APMT Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

Additional Highlights:

  • Gain broad exposure to strategic decision‑making alongside senior leaders in a complex, multinational terminal environment.
  • Develop professionally through continuous learning opportunities across finance, compliance, and business partnering.
  • Benefit from a performance‑driven culture that values work–life balance through structured planning and clear prioritization.
  • Work in an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are encouraged and respected.

Key Responsibilities

As Terminal Finance Manager, you will lead the full finance function for the terminal and act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director. You will:

  • Lead all accounting, reporting, and financial control activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial information.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end financial processes, including Requisition‑to‑Pay, Order‑to‑Cash, and Accounting‑to‑Reporting.
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
  • Conduct investment analyses and provide data‑driven insights, benchmarks, and business intelligence to guide terminal leadership.
  • Maintain a robust internal control and risk management framework, covering tax compliance, fraud prevention, claims, insurance, and asset/liability management.
  • Serve as a key business partner to the Terminal MD, contributing to strategy implementation and representing the terminal with external stakeholders when required.
  • Lead procurement and legal compliance activities, ensuring global functions are embedded effectively within the terminal structure.

What We Are Looking For

  • Continuous improvement mindset: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.
  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within a multinational or complex operational environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, reporting, accounting processes, and financial control frameworks.
  • Strong background in finance business partnering, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in both English and French, with the ability to operate effectively across cultures and matrix‑based organizations.
