About Laldia Container Terminal (LCT)

Laldia Container Terminal (LCT) is APM Terminals' greenfield terminal development in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The terminal will play a key role in strengthening the country's maritime infrastructure and enabling more efficient, reliable trade connectivity. As the terminal prepares for operations, this role will help establish a strong local brand presence, engage key stakeholders, and support both business growth and employee engagement.

• Partner with regional and global Communications, Branding & Marketing teams on high-impact initiatives.

• Gain exposure to a large-scale greenfield terminal project from development through operations.

About the Role

As the Communications & Marketing Officer, you will lead local communications and marketing activities that strengthen APM Terminals' brand, support business objectives, and enhance engagement with employees, customers, communities, media, and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the global Communications, Branding & Marketing function, you will ensure global standards, frameworks, and brand guidelines are consistently applied while creating locally relevant communications that reflect the needs of the Bangladesh market.

You will also own local internal communications, employer branding, community engagement, media relations, event communications, and stakeholder engagement, helping establish LCT as a trusted partner and employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver internal and external communication plans aligned with business priorities.

• Create, edit, and publish high-quality content including newsletters, press releases, speeches, presentations, website content, reports, and social media posts.

• Manage local digital communication channels and maintain accurate, engaging website and social media content.

• Partner with the Global Communications, Branding & Marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, government authorities, customers, concession stakeholders, and local communities.

• Support corporate events, employee engagement initiatives, community programs, and stakeholder activities through effective communication planning and promotion.

• Monitor media coverage, digital performance, and campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

In addition, you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, corporate affairs, or a similar role.

• Experience developing digital content and managing social media platforms and communication campaigns.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bengali, with excellent copywriting and editing abilities.

• Good understanding of branding, digital marketing, SEO, content management, and communications analytics.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.

• Strong organisational, project management, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
