Shape the Future of Reliable Digital Services at Anglian Water

Join us as our Service Assurance Manager and take the lead in shaping how world-class digital services are designed, transitioned and delivered across Anglian Water. In this pivotal role, you’ll embed service excellence into every stage of our digital delivery lifecycle, ensuring that our Platforms, Systems and Products are built for performance, stability and outstanding user experience.

You’ll be the driving force behind our SIAM/SIF managed service, defining and governing the frameworks that balance agility with reliability and risk with value. As an enabler of modern Cloud operations and Product-based ways of working, you’ll champion a true shift-left mindset, integrating non-functional requirements, smart support models, and rich telemetry from day one.

Leading our observability capability, you’ll turn real-time insights into action, powering preventative and automated operations that keep our services resilient, and our colleagues empowered. This is your opportunity to influence the digital heartbeat of Anglian Water and help shape the next generation of service excellence.

If you’re ready to play a pivotal role in protecting critical services and shaping the future of cyber security at Anglian Water, this is your chance.

What you’ll be doing

As our Service Assurance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in making sure every new or improved digital service is designed, built and delivered with reliability, resilience and great user experience at its core. You’ll:

· Lead the way on service design, creating the frameworks, standards and support models that ensure services are robust, supportable and aligned to non-functional requirements from day one.

· Oversee SIAM, service transition and operational readiness, making sure changes are well-tested, low-risk and fully prepared for live operation, while continuously improving how services move from build to run.

· Drive proactive assurance through observability, embedding the telemetry and real-time insights needed to identify issues early, understand performance, and enable preventative action.

· Lead and develop a high-performing team, strengthening capability across service design, transition and observability, and influencing stakeholders across Technology, Product, Cyber and Operations to champion a consistent, forward-thinking service mindset.

This is a role where you’ll shape how Anglian Water delivers reliable, insight-driven digital services and drive the culture and capability needed to make service excellence a reality.

As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:

· Full private healthcare with no excess

· 26 days leave, rising with service + Bank Holidays, with the option to swap Christmas and Easter holidays for those celebrated by your religion

· A flexible working culture

· Competitive pension scheme – we double-match your contributions up to 6%

· Life Assurance at eight times your salary

· Personal Accident cover – up to 5x your salary

· Bonus Scheme

What does it take to be the Service Assurance Manager

We’re looking for a confident, insight-driven leader who can inspire cross-functional adoption of new ways of working, communicate seamlessly across technical and non-technical teams, balance agility with risk and supportability, and coach stakeholders toward a culture of strong, consistent service assurance.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Demonstrable experience in service design and transition

· Experience with hybrid or cloud-native service delivery

· Strong understanding of operational readiness and non-functional assurance

· Background in observability, monitoring or telemetry practices

· Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments

· Knowledge of ITIL v4 (esp. Service Design, Transition and Monitoring)

· Familiarity with ITSM & monitoring platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Azure Monitor)

Why Apply?

This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of digital service excellence at Anglian Water — leading modern practices, driving cross-functional change and embedding the insights that keep our platforms resilient and our colleagues empowered. You’ll have real visibility, influence and autonomy, all while developing your own strategic and technical capability in a role that makes a genuine difference to the services millions of people rely on every day.
