We are looking for a Regulatory Programmes and Assurance Analyst to join our Regulation team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the company's relationship with regulators, supporting major submissions to Ofwat and helping to shape evidence-based responses to regulatory challenges and opportunities. You will be helping to ensure that Anglian Water delivers high-quality evidence, robust assurance and excellent outcomes for customers, the environment and stakeholders.

The purpose of this role is to support the Regulatory Programmes and Assurance Manager in the delivery of regulatory programmes and assurance activities across the business.

You will provide analytical, coordination and administrative support to the management of complex regulatory programmes, including the Ofwat Price Review, regulatory investigations, responses to Undertakings and wider market reform initiatives.

A key aspect of the role is supporting the implementation of regulatory governance and quality assurance processes, helping to ensure regulatory submissions are accurate, evidence-based and compliant with regulatory reporting requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to senior stakeholders, regulatory strategy and major regulatory submissions, while developing expertise in programme management, assurance and economic regulation within one of the UK's most highly regulated industries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the coordination of programme plans, governance meetings and reporting activities

• Support the coordination, preparation and review of regulatory submission content including data tables and narrative, supporting evidence and documentation.

• Analyse regulatory data and identify trends, anomalies and risks.

• Support the production of regulatory insights, management information and regulatory reports.

• Undertake data validation and assurance activities to ensure the accuracy of regulatory submissions.

• Maintain records and audit trails to support regulatory assurance and compliance requirements

• Assist in tracking programme milestones and support progress reporting

• Assist in coordinating responses to assurance findings and regulatory queries

What does it take to be successful?

• Experience in an analytical, programme support, or coordination role.

• Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage complex workbooks, perform data validation checks and maintain high levels of accuracy

• Experience supporting projects or programmes, including maintaining plans, trackers, or documentation

• Able to interpret information and translate it into structured outputs (e.g reports, trackers, documentation)

• Experience working with data, documents and reporting processes in a structured environment

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent coordination skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Good written communication skills, with the ability to support drafting of reports and documentation
