Helping Anglian Water make informed commercial decisions every day.

As a Commercial Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Commercial Manager to drive consistency, insight, and strong governance across Anglian Water's Centralised Commercial function. Working at the heart of the business, you'll help align commercial activity across Alliances and delivery routes across our capital programme.

You'll be instrumental in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in commercial reporting and management. Through high-quality reporting, robust analysis, and a strong audit trail, you'll help ensure confident decision-making and the delivery of critical financial and performance outputs across the year.

Working closely with the Commercial Services & Assurance team, you'll support the delivery of a wide range of commercial activities, which could include:

-Embedding and maintaining Commercial Standards across the business

-Supporting the Alliance Partner Assessment process

-Contributing to Commercial Model and Moderation activities

-Supporting oversight of all Capital Programme Overheads

-Producing Capital Delivery Index reporting and performance insights

-Validating weekly Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) payments

-Assisting in the development and implementation of automated reporting, analysis, and process improvement solutions

-Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across commercial reporting and governance processes

-Undertaking other commercial, governance, reporting, and analytical activities as required

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, stakeholders, and governance frameworks to make a visible impact across major programmes and Capital investment delivery.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Commercial Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Manager and the wider Commercial function to ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency across capital programmes and alliances. Your work will touch multiple areas, including commercial standards, financial modelling, capital delivery, performance reporting, and payment validation.

You'll help maintain and improve commercial policies, procedures, and governance frameworks, ensuring all activities are compliant, auditable, and aligned with business standards. You'll support the management and analysis of alliance and programme data, contribute to financial modelling and moderation processes, and assist with forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.

You'll also support the delivery of performance metrics such as the Capital Delivery Index, providing insights into trends and helping senior stakeholders make informed decisions. In addition, you'll assist with the weekly ERS payment process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to Tier 1 partners, maintaining clear audit trails, and supporting approvals.

Overall, your role will be about driving consistency, accuracy, and transparency in commercial activity while providing the insight and support that helps the business deliver on its financial and operational objectives.

What does it take to be a Commercial Analyst?

We're looking for a proactive and organised individual with:
