We're looking for a Maintenance Delivery Engineer to play a key role in improving the performance, reliability and maintenance of control valves and associated monitoring equipment across Anglian Water's network.

In this role, you'll provide technical expertise and analytical support to help optimise Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs), drive maintenance improvements and ensure our control valve assets operate efficiently and effectively. Working closely with Maintenance Delivery, System Optimisation, Network Operations and Alliance partners, you'll use data and engineering insight to identify opportunities, improve processes and support the delivery of excellent customer and environmental outcomes.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing technical support and engineering expertise to Maintenance Delivery, System Optimisation and operational teams.

  • Identifying opportunities to improve the performance, reliability and maintenance of PRVs and wider control valve assets.

  • Analysing pressure, flow and operational data to identify maintenance priorities and optimisation opportunities.

  • Supporting the planning and delivery of proactive maintenance programmes across the control valve estate.

  • Managing and maintaining data relating to asset performance, maintenance activities and optimisation opportunities.

  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and suppliers to minimise network and customer impact during maintenance and improvement activities.

  • Supporting the implementation of new optimisation schemes and facilitating smooth handovers into operational maintenance.

  • Driving improvements in maintenance processes, reporting and ways of working through data-led decision making.

  • Supporting governance and data quality activities, ensuring asset information and monitoring systems remain accurate and aligned to company standards.

  • Identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies, improved asset performance and enhanced operational effectiveness across the maintenance workstream.

  • Developing and maintaining monitoring, alarm and reporting systems for PRV controllers and associated equipment.

  • Championing continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across the business.

What we're looking for

  • Experience within water network operations, maintenance, asset management or a related engineering environment.

  • Strong understanding of water distribution systems, pressure management and control valve operation.

  • Experience analysing operational, pressure and flow data to support decision making and performance improvements.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify practical engineering solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.

  • Experience managing asset data, performance information and reporting tools.

  • Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements within an operational environment.

  • Strong IT and systems skills, including experience working with asset, maintenance or monitoring platforms.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement more efficient ways of working.

  • NRSWA Accreditation. (Essential)

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English. (Essential)

  • Water industry qualifications such as Distribution Control NVQ, Leakage Control NVQ or BPEC Water Supply Regulations qualification. (Desirable)
