Junior Communications Officer (dispatch employee)
Reports to: Head of Communications
Location: Beijing
Type: Full-Time
The Junior Communications Officer is a creative and versatile role focused on high-impact storytelling and multimedia content production. You will be responsible for identifying compelling narratives within the organization and translating them into engaging content for social media, PR, and internal channels. While this role includes light administrative support for the communications team, the primary focus is on creative execution and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Storytelling & Content Production
- Narrative Discovery: Identify and draft human-interest stories, case studies, and brand narratives from internal data or team interviews.
- Audiovisual Creation: Capture, edit, and produce short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) and basic photography.
- Graphic Design: Design on-brand visual assets for social media, newsletters, and presentations using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Copywriting: Draft clear, engaging copy for social media captions, blog posts, and internal announcements.
Social Media & Digital Coordination
- Channel Management: Maintain the editorial calendar and schedule posts across all digital platforms.
- Community Engagement: Monitor social channels and interact with the community to build brand loyalty.
- Analytics: Assist in tracking and reporting on content performance and digital reach.
Team Support & Administration
- Logistics: Provide administrative support, such as updating project management boards, organizing digital assets, and assisting with event coordination.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must bring a mix of creative spark and operational discipline. We are looking for:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related creative field.
- Narrative Instinct: A proven ability to identify a "story" within a set of facts. You should be able to demonstrate how you’ve turned a dry topic into engaging content.
- Technical Literacy: * Proficiency in mobile video editing and Premiere Pro.
- Experience with social media management tools,
- Graphic design skills
- Writing Excellence: Exceptional command of grammar and tone. You can shift from "corporate professional" to "social media casual" instantly.
- Digital Native Status: An active interest in emerging digital trends, AI tools, and platform algorithm changes.
- Administrative Rigor: Strong organizational skills. You aren't just a "creative"-you are someone who finds peace in a clean spreadsheet and a met deadline.
- Language: Native-level Chinese, and fluency in English is required.
