In this pivotal role within the Facilities Management and Real Estate organization, you will hold direct accountability for the technical heartbeat of our Filton and Newport sites, ensuring operational excellence across all workspace infrastructure. You will act as a strategic lead, translating complex regulatory requirements into robust governance frameworks that guarantee full compliance and site resilience. By managing high-value supplier partnerships, you will drive peak performance and meet rigorous financial targets, directly influencing the efficiency of our physical estate. This position offers the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between high-level strategic objectives and day-to-day maintenance delivery in a high-stakes environment. Ultimately, your leadership will ensure that our critical infrastructure remains a stable, high-performing foundation for the organization's broader mission.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Engage, develop and motivate the direct team(s), within Airbus Values using the HR processes & development tools.
  • Management and completion adherence of all tasks within CMMS /CAFM tool
  • Coordination, tender and delivery of minor works projects (0 - £85K)
  • Continue to develop the FMRE specification
  • Contribute to reduce operating costs by delivering cost saving targets through business transformation, supplier and contractor management and implementation of new technologies
  • Ensure adherence and utilisation of the Airbus Health and Safety tools
  • Financial management, operational budgeting, spend and risk and opportunity management
  • Manage the Statutory Inspection Contract and ensure the sites compliance with any Statutory requirements, delivery of FM responsibilities and performance of the support functions
  • Supplier management through Service Level Agreements / Key Performance Indicators, Governance and regulations
  • Provide maintenance of facilities, infrastructure and technical equipment (mechanical & electrical) to ensure a safe working environment, business continuity and property value retention through asset management and performance of energy and water efficiencies to meet with the Airbus corporate environmental objectives
  • Ensure good relationships with internal customers, understanding and anticipating the business and customer needs, including active demand management and supplier performance management
  • Asset management - delivery of a 5 year rolling investment plan, aligning with Airbus sustainability objectives
  • Defining and delivering against strategy and policy for all maintenance activities (i. Electrical, Mechanical, Fire, Fabric, Cranes) ensuring continuous improvement through data analysis
  • Encourage innovation and continuous improvement by detecting and eliminating non added-value activities.
  • Build a trustful and inclusive environment, promoting collaboration facts driven decisions and an out of silos mindset.
