YOUR CHANCE

We are looking for an experienced leader to drive operational and customs excellence within our global supply chain for aerospace spare parts.

In this role, you will lead a dynamic and highly engaged Transport & Customs Operations team, steering global Inbound and Outbound flows. Our office is strategically located in the heart of Hamburg, right next to the Airport, offering a daily, inspiring view of our aircrafts in action.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • People & Culture : Lead, mentor, and develop the European team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance in an international setting.
  • Operational Excellence : Manage and steer global Transport & Customs service providers at an operational and tactical level to ensure the high performance standards and service delivery.
  • Customs Compliance Governance : Own and drive the execution of customs operations governance, ensuring full compliance with all relevant and fast-changing regulations.
  • Process Improvement : Lead continuous optimization of global Air, Sea, and Road freight products, enhancing processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Transformation & Deployment : Execute the deployment of our global Control Tower and new Transport Management System as a key contributor to the Global Logistics Transformation Program.
  • Strategic Partnerships : Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with external Service Providers and internal stakeholders across Satair and Airbus.

This role will involve some travel for business, mainly within Europe, and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

If you fulfill all requirements you can expect a yearly gross salary between 122.000€ and 128.000€ based on an Airbus Operations GmbH contract , including all associated benefits.

YOUR BOARDING PASS

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent, paired with longstanding professional experience.
  • Leadership: Proven success leading teams in a complex, international operational setting.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in global Transport, Freight Forwarding, and Customs Operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of global logistics networks. Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing industry is a strong asset.
  • Systems Expertise: Practical experience with core operational systems (e.g., TMS, SAP). Knowledge of Trade Compliance software is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, data-driven mindset. Familiarity with data analytics tools is highly beneficial.
  • Language: Business fluency in English, German negotiation skills are a plus.
