Scope of Position

  • To manage the overall Facilities & Security responsibilities while ensuring adherence to local country regulations in the industry.
  • Ensuring the legal regulations are enforced and in particular related to industrial security and environmental protection.
  • Maintenance of site/resources and assets of Airbus Helicopters Malaysia.
  • Site Security Management in accordance with Airbus Security protocol including access card management and recording.
  • CCTV Monitoring and incident reporting for Management and APAC Security
  • Supervision of 3rd Party E&M Contractors (UTW)
  • Responsible for vendor management which includes to coordinate and monitor all service level agreements with Facilities Management providers and ensure agreed corporate services standards & key performance indicators are fulfilled by the provider.
  • To collaborate with the General Procurement team to provide feedback & inputs when evaluating vendors & suppliers contracts.
  • Liaison with MAHB on Airside Security Protocol
  • To assist the management on matters related to environment care, safety and health, such as formulating, organizing and implementing occupational safety and health programs, to minimize on environment, safety and health risk at the workplace.
  • To liaise with external environmental, health and safety auditors and regulatory bodies concerning audit schedules and update the management on regulations requiring compliance by the company. ie: DOSH, DOE
  • To plan for internal audits and conduct HSE committee review meetings to report on occupational health, safety and environment care performances.
  • Liaison with the Local SS and Regional Environment team. Manage the Emergency Response Team.
  • To collect, analyze and report statistics on any accident and dangerous occurrence, which have occurred at the workplace, including the number of persons injured either incurring lost-time injury or no lost-time injury.
  • To ensure effective updating to the management team of all latest legal requirements as per regulations.
  • To develop and champion internal policies, programs and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy working condition at the workplace.
  • To work closely with management in ensuring effective planning, implementation and maintenance of all ISO processes, ISO certification and observance initiatives of the organisation to ensure compliance with the standards.
  • Takes the lead to be the ISO and Audit Management responsible person to respond to audit reports and ensure proper and timely corrective action plan taken.
  • Takes the lead on matters related to Sustainability & Waste Management at AHM.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical expertise/support with regard to all the actions carried out in the implementation of infrastructure resources and property/industrial security.
  • Managing the asset of the company that are assigned to the facility
  • Supporting and advising employees and managers responsible for the safety and prevention of accidents by highlighting the importance of workplace safety.
  • Ensuring a high level of health, safety and fire protection in all operations, through risk reduction programs.
  • Define and Execute the Site Security Plan
  • Preparing, coordinating and ensuring the follow-up of action plans for risk management and risk prevention measures
  • Managing internal and external audits link to ISO 14001:2004, OSHAS 18001:2007, SAG, Airbus, Quality including Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Managing procurement for the facility maintenance and safety within the company approved budget.
  • Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code of Conduct.
  • Sustainability Protocols as per Airbus Policy. Implement regional program and reporting
  • Report to Management on facility improvements/inspections/repair and others
  • Budget Monitoring and Report to MD and Head of Finance
  • Liaising with Airport Airside Security such as Fire Department and AVSEC
  • Overall Asset Management report to Head of Finance
  • Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.


Background and skills

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Possesses a Degree ideally specializing in Facility management or Health, Safety and Environmental care or in Quality.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in managing facilities and having exposure in HSE & ISO matters. Having experience working in the Aviation industry is an added advantage.

  • Good team player and communication skills and having a meticulous approach, with good analytical skills. (E)
  • A good working knowledge of Google Suites (E)
  • Internal and External Customer focused and strong leadership skills. (E)
  • Good working relationship capabilities, proven negotiation skills and ability to work independently. (E)
  • Good understanding of the Malaysian Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 other local OSH related regulations (E)
  • Knowledge on ISO Standards (E)
  • DOSH Green Book Holder (Not mandatory) (D)
