Job Description

​The Role

The Space Sector Engagement Manager will support ADS’s Space sector activities, including, member engagement, events and trade facilitation, Sector Boards, Working Groups and Special Interest Groups management and engagement with industry and Governments.

The role holder will also support the delivery of a portfolio of space sector events including the Farnborough International Space Show.

The Space Sector Engagement Manager will work across the sector teams in ADS, our offices in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and France, with group businesses including Farnborough International, and with key partner organisations including UKspace, with a strong focus on delivering for our members, growing, and strengthening ADS in the space sector, coordinating, and leading on industry business development activities and opportunities.

The role holder will report to the Deputy Director - Space and will be ideally located in London.

The Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business / trade development experience, with an understanding of funding mechanisms for space sector businesses.
  • Broad understanding of the Space sector and ability to conduct sector analysis and research.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and company proprietary information as required to support individual member companies.
  • Strong communication and presentational skills.
  • Capability of working as a self-starter.
  • A sound knowledge of the working of UK industry and government is essential.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and overseas as appropriate to deliver role priorities.

Contract & Benefits

Contract; Permanent, fulltime role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Location; Hybrid working- 3 days in the office and 2 days from home
