About the team
You'll join a team committed to continual delivery, necessitating either shipping to production daily or working with traditional software delivery. We have a team of over 10 engineers that are based remotely across different geographic locations supporting various of products within the business.
About the role
We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in building and maintaining apps within the Atlassian ecosystem. With tens of millions of global users employing Atlassian tools to optimise their software processes, your contribution will leave a significant impact.
As a Quality Engineer, your collaboration with Product Managers and leadership in a product team will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality features and fixes to our consumer base. Balancing your time between creating automated tests and enhancing the product's overall quality will be essential.
What you'll be doing
-Collaborate as part of a cross-functional Agile team comprising software engineers, other quality engineers, tech leads, and product managers in delivering efficient and reliable software solutions.-Design comprehensive test solutions like test strategies, test plans for web applications, REST APIs, and services.-Develop test automation using JavaScript or Java with Selenium or Playwright.-Test cloud-native applications on AWS.-Embrace Agile work principles and culture.-Advocate for a test-driven development approach, raising awareness about the importance of quality and performance.-Troubleshoot build, functional and performance issues.-Analyse test results and identify and report any issues and associated risks.-Ensure all team deliverables (software and documentation) adhere to company standards.-Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot Continuous Integration (CI) builds and deployments.

What we're looking for
-Exceptional communication skills across all levels.-Profound understanding of the Agile principles, testing principles, tools, and best practices.-Comprehensive experience in web application testing, particularly in end-to-end tests and REST APIs.-Hands-on experience creating automated tests using Java or JavaScript with either Playwright or Selenium.-Solid grasp of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles and tools.-Collaborative mindset, with an ability to mentor others and contribute to team-driven outcomes.-Willingness to expand your testing knowledge by learning new skills, tools, and methods.-Motivated to improve testing practices and processes and influence others to strive for the same.-Experience using Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket as a power user or Administrator is desirable-Knowledge of performance testing and understanding of security testing is an added advantage.-Familiarity with Docker and AWS or other cloud service providers is highly encouraged.
