As an Associate Planning Director...
We are looking for a culturally led, PR associate director who has their finger on the pulse of the ever-changing earned landscape as well as a passion for driving results and managing successful client relationships. A proven track record of running successful earned first campaigns, an understanding of plugging into integrated work as well as a good financial management to ensure profitable work.
What you will do…
Client servicing/management
Establishes and capitalises on multi-level client relationships across each business
Manages client expectations and pushes back when required, acts as a consultant
Strives to grow each account year on year through proactive selling of value-add services, Group products and services
Successfully manages portfolio in line with company's budgetary targets
Has a clear strategy in place to maintain and grow portfolio against agreed targets - reporting to Exec PR Director
Delivers strong written work including proposals which meet high quality standards and achieve results
Strategic comms & Council
Strategically assesses the client's communication challenges - understanding and articulating the strategy in a succinct way- and delivering ongoing strategic counsel to client and team
Provides Brand Consultancy as well as PR consultancy- highlighting multi-channel opportunities when appropriate
Considers audience and channel in all proposals - thinking more broadly about digital, social and content-led strategies and drawing on wider skill-sets from across the agency to add value to thinking
Displays the appropriate level of knowledge, skills and confidence to direct and manage all aspects of comms programme
Works with and provides support and coaching to the team on strategic comms
Has a clear and strong understanding of the PR & Social landscape, offering strategic counsel to both clients and prospective clients
Commercial/Financial management
Responsible for the development of accurate budgets for all client activity, ensuring Group services are described and costed appropriately
Responsible for the development and output of accurate resource plans
Responsible for the management of client servicing levels, within pre-agreed levels- ensuring all activity falls within the cIient contract
Responsible for sharing all financial updates (inc. organic target updates) with the Exec leads and finance team
Responsible for ensuring relevant fees are assigned to the different rollers e.g. TWW, Design
Ongoing monitoring of roller to ensure all financial data including organic growth targets are always up to date
Understands and delivers specialist agency products and services (media training, message development, digital strategy, trends workshops) to increase high-value revenue earning potential
New business
Successfully co-owns and manages (with support from Exec director where required) the new business process, from qualification to pitch
Works effectively with central new biz team and maximises all potential leads
Generates new business opportunities through personal leads, contacts and connections
Proactively identifies new revenue streams through value-add services for both existing clients and new business
Generates organic growth through the wider TMW and Accenture business through building key connections
Leadership
Approachable to all team members, encouraging involvement and listening to others point of view
Provides coaching and informal training to increase team capability, motivation and value to the business
Proactively manages performance to guide and direct team and manage any issues
Works effectively with leadership team and HR to consider team shape, needs and challenges
