Half of all Flexa users said they would prefer some kind of alternative working pattern 2026, and the majority of those are looking for part-time work. 

Of those looking for part time jobs, Flexa data found that in the first half of 2026:

• Part-time work was the most popular working pattern for users under 21, and those aged 51 and above. 
• Users who prefer part-time work placed equal importance between salary, work-life balance and time flexibility. 
• The most important company commitment for users who preferred part-time work was age inclusivity, chosen by 39.5% of users, followed by a family friendly workplace (37.6%).
