ClientEarth
Using the power of the law to protect life on Earth.
A world in which people and planet thrive together isn't just possible; it's essential.
We are the world’s most ambitious environmental organisation. We started with one lawyer and his laptop in 2007. Now we are over 300 people, with eight offices around the world, creating powerful change for life on Earth. Read more about our history here.
We have blocked Europe’s largest planned coal plant. We've forced governments across Europe to clean up air pollution. We pressured the world’s largest multilateral lender to withdraw funding for fossil fuels. We’ve forced big polluters to come clean about their climate impacts – and to clean up their acts. We protect essential ecosystems on which everyone depends. We prevented the destruction of Europe’s oldest forest and protected vulnerable wildlife.
We work tirelessly to ensure people can seek and access the protection they’re entitled to by law. We also support environmental legal professionals and organisations to work effectively to protect the planet. Read more about our mission and acheivements here.

Flexible working at ClientEarth
We offer a flexi-time policy that allows for earlier/later start and finish times on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
We give our people the choice to decide to work from home in the country where their contract of employment is issued for 80% of their month, with the other 20% of their month being office-based.
We provide a laptop to enable home working and reimbursement of up to £300 (or local equivalent) to cover additional equipment needed to ensure that you have an ergonomically sound work space.
Staff can work from another country (for non-work reasons) for up to 30 working days per calendar year. To take advantage of this scheme staff must complete a number of declarations and be able to stay and work in the relevant country without breaching immigration rules or incurring tax or social security liability.
Some of our other benefits vary by location, so do see our careers site for more information.

What Employees like about ClientEarth

Purpose
ClientEarth is an inspiring and bold organization, with great colleagues to learn from!

Working Environment
It's a great place to work!

Working Environment
I love working at ClientEarth and feel really supported by the flexible working policies! I work compressed hours which has been a great experience and has allowed me to design my week in a way that works better for me and the other commitments in my life.

Growth & Learning
Refreshingly flexible working. I also really appreciate the learning & development opportunities that ClientEarth offers. As well as all the brilliant workshops, events, and well-being activities (yoga, meditation, massages, gardening, team sports, etc.) that help to make the day-to-day of working here even more enjoyable.

Culture
I have never worked in such a positive, supportive environment as in ClientEarth. This is a fabulous place to work. I am fully myself here. The values I share with my colleagues create such strong bonds. I wish everyone had the workplace experience I have.

People & Community
The people are the best part about ClientEarth. Everyone is passionate and committed to our common mission. But that clarity and unity breeds a (sometimes surprising) sense of fun and freedom in the way we share not only our expertise in pursuing our objectives, but also in how we share our interests, joys, and fears. We are always looking for a reason to celebrate each other (birthdays, anniversaries, new joiners, leavers, big wins, big losses after a huge effort) and bring out our creativity (making amazing (mostly sweet) food or giving the most thoughtful gifts). Not everyone always sees eye to eye, and not everyone is best friends, but the sense of comradery and community is real and sincere. And that makes ClientEarth a very special place to get to work.

Working Environment
Very flexible working hours, friendly team, office with good equipment, possibility of working remotely for a limited number of days per week, people motivated by the mission and the change we want to see in the world rather than by competition, which creates a collaborative environment.

Inclusion
Understanding of caring responsibilities and disability - the flexibility is real.

Working Environment
I love the flexitime policy, the respect of parental time/location needs (and the people)
